Spotty playsuit of dreams!
Updated: Aug 19, 2020
Sounds dramatic but this pattern is just the bees knees! The Shelby dress or romper is a princess seamed garment with 4 different options by True Bias. I made the romper as I thought it would be great for all seasons (with tights and knitwear in the colder months) and perfect for cycling in...it is!
I used a spotty challis from Minvera which was only £4.99 p/m and some really cute daisy buttons from Samantha Claridge Studio
It came together really nicely and didn't need any adjustments. It's a fairly loose style with ties at the back so you can sinch it in at the waist.
I'm already planning my next one! Think I'm going to make the romper again (as I have quite a few dresses now!) and I'm going to make the midi length. I love looking at other versions on Instagram, the red on below left is my inspo!
I love the 90's vibes of this dress so much, makes me wish I'd kept some of my clothes from then...not that they'd probably fit me now!!
Who else has made this pattern? Any hack recommendations?
